To ensure relevant and surprising designs, we consistently sustain strong relationships within creative arts and culture. Our design business is presently undergoing a major transformation, including relocation to Copenhagen and alignment with an ambitious design-driven growth strategy. This calls for a highly motivated interior architect with great leadership and networking skills. The senior interior architect will be part of a design team consisting of experienced industrial designers, interior architects, project managers and architectural staff, who produce high-end design and interior solutions to a demanding worldwide customer base. Areas of Responsibility You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of interior design project teams. Together with your colleagues, you will conceptualize and, in part, design interior solutions for our major architectural projects as well as for independent client projects such as living spaces, exhibitions, etc. You will take the lead in creative ideation processes and form strong industry networks. You will collaborate closely with manufactures, architects, strategic partners and customers. Tasks Your tasks include the following: Identify business opportunities internally as well as through sustained professional networks with customers, architects, strategic partners and contractors Participate in the relocation of the schmidt/hammer/lassen design/ business from Aarhus to Copenhagen Conceptualize and design high end interior solutions Divide and distribute work to your colleagues based on competencies, available resources and professional development Initiate and engage in sales activities Qualify and implement our design strategy in the interior design team Participate in negotiating partnership contracts with manufacturers and co-develop an increasingly profitable business model together with the management team Measure customer satisfaction You will be evaluated on the quality and successes of your interior design solutions as well as their clear link to the heritage and values of schmidt/hammer/lassen design/. Your Profile You strive to create innovative interior design solutions and show initiative, act with confidence and set high quality standards in the day-to-day work. You balance creative ideation and a systematic, methodical approach in your work schedule. In your ambition to create interior design solutions, you focus on customer needs and work to identify new business opportunities within the organisation and beyond. In addition, you prioritize to keep up to date with competitor information and market trends. As you interact with clients and colleagues you adapt an interpersonal style to suit different people and situations. You use humour appropriately to enhance relationships with others and you build wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the organisation to reach the ambitious goals for schmidt/hammer/lassen design/ As a manager you identify and organise resources needed to accomplish tasks. You constantly demonstrate a charismatic design appearance that will professionally represent the company toward its stakeholders. At all stages of the workflow you take responsibility for actions, projects and people by listening, consulting and communicating proactively with your colleagues. Your Qualifications We expect you to have an academic background as architect with several years of working experience within interior design; preferably in conjunction with management responsibility. You have international experience from working abroad or similar. Additionally, we expect a profound level of English (verbal and written). It is a required that you are an experienced user of various software such as Auto CAD, Revit, InDesign, Photoshop and Rhinoceros or similar. Reporting Line and Work Place You will be based in our Copenhagen office and report to the head of the department. A number of monthly travel days are to be expected between regional offices and client sites. Additional Questions?
